Issues

Shortage of available housing puts a strain on working families, and retirees because they are often priced out of the market. Any new development and redevelopment should be compatible with Wolfeboro’s character from a site design, scale, and architectural perspective.

Land Use

Protection and preservation of our lakes, ponds, and streams is critical to Wolfeboro and, by extension, the Lakes Region. Our tax base is directly linked to the pristine quality of our most valuable and fragile of natural resources. Our water and shore lands.

Water Quality

Our close contact with nature and small village feel is what makes Wolfeboro so special. Its lakes, ponds, streams, forested areas, mountains, trails, rock walls, sunrises, sunsets, and starry skies are what have attracted so many to our community for generations.

Rural Character

Citizens of Wolfeboro have long voiced the desire at public hearings for transparency in the Town Planning process, access to the data that is used to make important planning decisions, and equitable enforcement of zoning ordinances.

Accountability

Financial transparency is essential to maintaining trust between Town government and its citizens. Equally important is understanding how government utilizes the available data and resources in its toolkit to make expenditure decisions.
